I work for 3M as a mechanical apprentice. My day to day activities involve 3D printer maintenance as well as assisting other engineers with needs and problem solving.I interact with a wide variety of people from software to marketing.
From this experience i have gained a lot of knowledge and learned new skills. I would say i have definitely gained better communications skills and am better at more confident.
I enjoy working with the team i am in very much, they are always there if i am stuck or need a answer to a question.
I don't feel that i have been at 3M long enough to fully answer this question however i do feel that i am valued at 3M
My programme is very organised. I routinely meet with my assessor and my manager in order to discuss my progress and any issues. I also take the time to ask for any tasks or jobs that i am interested in
I do receive a great amount of support from my training provider. I complete work through OneFile where i can talk to my assessor at all times about any concerns or any questions i need answering
I would say that i receive a lot of support from my employer, the majority from the team that i work with. People are very busy but they are always willing to give you their time in order to help you with any problems
I am currently looking for a car so when i purchase a car money may become a struggle. However i am good with my money so i can prioritise and work around it if needed
Yes i am able to travel to other sites and take part in events through WBTC if i want.
