I am a trainee in the reconciliations department of operations. Part of my role is to reconcile transactions made back to the main record keeper; the custodian. I frequently liaise with my counterparts at custodians to investigate and resolve issues.
I am currently studying for the Claritas exam which I will sit in May which is helping to gain a basic and rounded knowledge base and understanding of the investment industry as a whole.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme and look forward to starting each new week. I appreciate the opportunity that has been given to me an aim to extract and capitalise on all learning opportunities that are available.
I appreciate the responsibility I have been given by Schroders as it has shown me that they do value all of their employees and has allowed me to feel valued as an individual here.
I believe this programme is very well structured at Schroders and gives an excellent opportunity to learn a great deal about the internal departments, the business and the industry as a whole.
We receive a very good standard of support which has been organised to ensure everybody has the opportunity to attend the sessions and not miss out on any learning events.
Schroders has been excellent at providing support to me in all aspects including my studying for the exam as well as training and learning different tasks within my team.
Schroders has offered us a competitive salary as well as benefits package that allowed me to feel very comfortable with my living expenses.
Schroders offers a variety of opportunities outside of work. There is a number of subsidised sports and social activities that are endorsed each month and encourages all employees to take part. They are also happy to help support you in charity work.
