Working with various members of the team and supporting their day today tasks on and off site.
Being on site helped develop my skills of communicating and addressing others in a professional manner.
I enjoyed all aspects of the work experience. It gave me a valuable insight into the property world and as a direct result influenced my career choices.
I feel very valued by the experience I gained. It was useful to show that I had completed this work experience when going for various interviews with other firms looking for a permanent role in surveying.
The work experience was similar to most. The structure basically involved me being paired and following various members of a team at any given time. I felt this worked well for the environment I was in.
The support was also huge. In the short time I was there I was given extensive literature and other course to look into which would go on to help further my knowledge and understanding of the profession.
I couldn't ask for my support from my employer. It's a great environment to work in, both directors are happy to help with my acedemics and professional challenges in anyway they can! My colleagues are also a very supportive team and have taught me lots in my time in the role.
The work expierence was unpaid. However it did lead to later full time employment.
I don't fully grasp this question. However I would say that the work I am doing at the minute has created a great deal of opportunities outside of work. The role increased my communication and people skills tenfold as well as educating me about the property sector.
Yes
Pure enjoyement as well as doversirty in the role has lead to me pursuing a full time career in surveying as a direct result of my work expierence.
Do as much and as varied work experience as possible in different sectors. Once you have found an area of interest start to focus your expierence around that role and build up your contacts, knowledge and enjoyment. Do this and your C.V will take care of itself!
