  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Through this apprenticeship I gained numerous Microsoft MTAs, HP ATAs as well as the level 3 BTEC qualifications. Through my employer I also did further industry qualifications and other internal training courses. Working in a company like JLP really did help me to develop my interpersonal skills as well as learn so much about my chosen specialism in IT.

  • JLP is a place which gives you so much appreciation for everything you do no matter how little. My department often called out big wins for each team and projects and pieces of work I worked on were often called out as part of this. JLP has great personable benefits to go along with this to make you overall feel soo valued at all times. They really listened to me at all times at all levels.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Arch Apprentices were great. My assessor, Waleed, provided so much support at all times even being there for questions and support after my apprenticeship actually finished. My assessor actually delivered the vast majority of my training which was great as I had, and still have, a great personable relationship with my assessor.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • JLP both from management level and from all my colleagues gave me great support along the way. With coursework and other apprenticeship commitments they were very accommodating at all times no matter how busy the whole team was sometimes. The JLP learning team (Partner Development) were not actively engaged with my particular apprenticeship scheme but were on hand should I have any questions or need any help. The IT Training team were great in helping us with resources along the way.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Salary good for an apprenticeship but the commuting cost means you would find it difficult to move out while on this apprenticeship. Benefits that they provide are great and even some money cannot buy benefits which are amazing and certainly help the partnership be a very special place to work.
