  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role at JLL involves working in business development, building strategies around how we can best target our key clients and producing business plans. I regularly attend meetings and have previously chaired meetings. I write up the minutes after the meeting as well as update the business plan and adjust our projected revenue.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by JLL?
  • I feel very valued by JLL. my relationships are ever expanding and recently being involved in the top 10 inspirational women under 30 in JLL, having only been here 6 months has made me feel very proud. made me feel as though the work I'm doing is being recognised.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel there could definitely be a lot more structure to the program in terms of the college work. The work we get given to do outside of the college building would be much more useful to go over in the lesson then the actual lesson. I feel that we need more support in terms of the amount of time that we have free to do the college work. JLL run an apprentice program for surveyor and they get a day to focus on studying opposed to us on the business admin course.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • our training provider City and Guilds has previously offered support and has been there if we have any questions but only through the use of our tutor. Our tutor is very helpful and is always willing to help if confused.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have a quarterly catch up with our HR team who are very willing to help and listen. I have had a lot of support from our team secretary who always helps if I'm stuck. the only lack in support I feel is the time that I am expected to work, I am expected to stay after working hours but feel that my team could be a lot more supportive and understanding about how far I travel I and out of London everyday.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • JLL are very good in terms of travel, they offer to pay travel for the first year. This has really helped me out although next year I am going to be worse off with money even though our pay will go up as I pay so much on travel. Being a little older then other apprentices I have a lot more expenses to pay out for and I would be useful if JLL could take this into account.

    2/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • JLL is a within the property industry, working in the agency team has major perks in the fact we are often out for team events after work.

    8/10

  • 9. Would you recommend JLL to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • If my friend was younger and looking to start out in property is would be a brilliant place to start. JLL are always looking to help us all out and solve any issues we have.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLL?
  • I would advise people make sure that it is something they want to do, everyone is very hard working and so expect you to be the same. keep up to date with college work. Take every opportunity that JLL gives to you to expand your experience and knowledge.
