I am part of the Strategic Sourcing team and on a day-to-day basis I approve the set-up of vendors on to our system and I also approve Purchase Orders. I am also involved in projects in which we procure new suppliers.
Yes, my IT skills have vastly improved since starting my apprenticeship and also my team working skills and ability to know how to handle myself in a professional environment.
To the full extent as I feel part of an important team, in an important company and in a captivating industry.
I feel very valued and that my role has an important part to play in the overall success of Procurement in Media. I also feel like I am treated as an equal and that my age does not affect the way people look at me too much.
My programme is organised/ structured very well all of the training and support is allowing me to blossom as an employee and as a learner. If I ever feel unconfident about something I am able to ask and learn about that matter.
I receive endless support from my training provider as there are frequent workshops I am invited to attend where the trainers are very helpful and are happy to give me plenty of one-to-one time on any issues I need clearing up. My assessor is also very quick in responding to any queries I have with my qualification.
I also receive endless support from my employer as my manager will always take time out to speak to me on any queries I have. We have a progress meeting every Friday morning in which I tell her how I am getting on and receive feedback from my employer as to how she thinks I am getting on.
Very well.
Yes, I am quite frequently invited to company events and have the opportunity sometimes to meet with potential suppliers. I am also able to attend some of the premieres for Warner Bros movies.
Yes
It is the leading company in media in the world and there is always exciting things happening within the organisation and employees are constantly made aware of these things. The environment is very friendly and you could expect to be treated equally as an apprentice. Everyone is very helpful.
Don't be boring and make sure you have character, be confident and professional at the same time.
