  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The basic salary is not very good at all whilst training but I knew that going in, I should imagine having a fairly new mortgage and young family would be a struggle without help from family or savings. Fortunately being older I don't have these problems, the company has provided a van / fuel costs, accommodation and meal provisions whilst at the academy.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Having nearly finished the initial training and qualifications and having to stay in hotels for a lot of it, going back to a hotel each night has been difficult. The company I understand does promote voluntary/ local community events and initiatives.

  • 9b. Why?
