  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am an operations apprentice at the moment I have only just finished my primary training. how ever I will be moving into my first placement on Monday the 13th and will be doing calibration and maintenance.

  • yes I have learnt lots of different skills including soldering, cabling/wiring, as well as life skills like communications.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy work as I enjoy hands on learning over classroom learning.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by MBDA?
  • I feel like a valued employee as we are given a lot of respect from other members of the company.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • this year the program has been structured differently due to the new build, however overall the structure is well developed and designed. we have good support and a mentoring system to help us.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • as a dyslexic I have had less support than I had in school however we do receive support with our training practically but little support at the moment with written work.

  • we do receive support with our training practically but little support at the moment with written work.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • the salary meets my costs very well and I consider the pay as a great incentive to really work to my full potential.

  • yes as long as they are not on a collage day.

  • Yes

  • I would and have recommend friends to MBDA as I believe this is a great company to start a career.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MBDA?
  • I would recommend researching the company, as well as for an engineering roll to bring examples of past work for example a log book or bringing a circuit board you have made. I would also say just be yourself.
