  • Operations apprentice involves various different activities including electronic assembly, calibration and maintenance, mechanical assembly and more. Throughout my apprenticeship I will do multiple different placements in the business that last roughly three months.

  • Different engineering skills, communication skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I fully enjoy my programme and the work I do. I enjoy working for my company and like communicating and learning all about the different people working within the company.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by MBDA?
  • I feel as an apprentice I am very highly valued by mbda. Apprentices are respected and are looked at as the future of the company.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship scheme at mbda is very well structured and organised, making sure each apprentice has a copy of their placement timetable detailing where they are required to be. Meetings and one to ones are organised regularly and aren't ever missed.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive as much support as possible from my training provider, all of my tutors and my ldo.

  • I receive as much support as possible within mbda, from all my line managers, team leaders and my apprenticeship supervisor.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary package exceeds my costs and I am very well paid.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many opportunities to undergo things outside of work. Ranging from sports and social clubs and charity clubs, to different courses I can undertake.

  • Yes

  • It is a very successful company that believes in apprentices and involves them in actual high quality meaningful work.

  • Research the company and what they do, and be confident in the interviews.
