Manufacturing or Engineering Apprentice Review

I work on various areas within MBDA and work with skilled men who produce different parts which come together to make a full product. I shadow qualified operators, and do work under the supervision of these operators.

I have gained many qualifications in the form of an NVQ, and an ONC is electrical engineering. I am currently working on my HNC and hope to eventually gain my HND in the subject. I have done multiple safety at work, manual handling, team building, presentations skills and general electrical equipment courses which help to better my understanding of the industry.

I enjoy working on the job, and most people in the company are approachable.

I get a strong sense and constant reminding that I am the future of the company.

With us moving site recently some organisation still needs to be done to tailor to the new site, however it is alright at the moment.

Meetings every few months to make sure I am on track, and I know their email address if I have any questions or anything I need to discuss.

Could be better however this links into the organisation that needs doing, which I mentioned previously.

I get an adequate amount for living costs with some left over.

There are many company events going on constantly which consist of recruitment conventions for apprenticeships and seeing visitors about the apprenticeship.

It is a good company to work for and the fact you gain qualifications while on the job is brilliant.

Make sure you are willing to put the effort in because it is a lot of work but it does pay off.
