  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work mostly on the tills improving my customer service. I also help with the delivery making sure all the cages and totes are completed and empty. I make sure all the customers are satisfied with their visit and leave the store with a smile on their face.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot about the importance of handling the money. I have definitely improved my customer service skills, and working as a team. My on shop floor services are gradually getting better too.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love the programme I am on because it's developing me into the person I want to be. It's teaching me about all the ins and out in retail and improving m skills to my best ebility.

  • Savers staff have welcomed me from the day I started working for them. They have treated me like I was part of their team before the word go. They push me to be the best I can be.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well organised. My rotas are planned out every week to what suits me. The staff teaching me new things as I go along and making sure I am ok with everything that's happening.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider is very supportive for me. She helps me when I ask, and guides me in the right direction. She tells me where I need to be and when I need to be there. She also treats me like a adult.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very helpful. She advices me when I need her, she makes me a better person. She pushes me in the direction that I would like to go. And always helps me when I need her.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary is a very low salary but where I am an apprentice it's very suitable. I would like to be paid more than I do but hopefully the pay will go up soon. It's not a lot to help me with outside off work but I cope.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are a few opportunities outside off work. But I would happily stay in the savers I am in now. It's a very lovely place to work and I am happy to be a part of their team and always will be.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Savers is a low priced shop. The team are always as happy as they can be, and always helpful when needed. They are always full of energy and ready to work and give the customers a satisfying visit.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savers?
  • I would give the advice to hurry up and do it. Savers is a good company to be employed by. They will help you in any way possible and make you the best that you can be. Work hard and they will treat you.
