  • C+ Developer building and testing modules of code for a client.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Gaining level 4 qualifications, Internal training in my current and other fields. Improved personal skills such as working with a team and working individually. Learnt new and improved on existing knowledge of things such as: SQL, Java, C+, Unix.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme, I enjoy working on the team I'm in and learning on the job, it exceeds my expectations that I had when applying for the apprenticeship.

  • I get recognition from the work I do and feel like I'm a valued member of the team.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured and we get specific training weeks throughout the year, we also get set days to complete Uni/College work.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive good support from our training providers, we get help when needed and they are more than willing to help.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We are all assigned a manager, Mentor and a career counsellor so we recieve good support.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary for the first year isn't great I find it difficult to to live near to work and travel to work, but I do manage.. just. Years two and three salary is much better and I will be able to meet my costs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are a number of opportunities outside of work for voluntary activities, company events and the company is great at facilitating any charity days off or perks to help with gym costs etc.

  • 9. Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Accenture is a great company to work for the apprenticeship scheme is great and offers a range of possible roles to go in to, it offers great on the job training and experience as well as a qualifications at the end of it. When you compare the costs of university to the perks of the apprenticeship scheme there is no contest.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
  • Just be yourself, but be willing and be proactive. Show your passion for IT and don't be afraid to talk about what you'd like to work in and what kind of role you think you'd be good at. Talk about any experience you have with IT no matter how small as it can show your willing and have an interest.
