  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm a pilier so the rig drills a pile and then we cage up and concrete it. We are constantly using the crane to move augers for the rig as well as moving pumps and de-sanding gear when using bentonite.

  • Everything I'm doing Is new so learning new skills everyday. I've just done my slinger/signallers course which is a new skill, I've learnt to make cubes, caging up the pile,using hanging chains.

  • I'm really enjoying the job I'm doing its great.

  • Very, they are always in constant contact.

  • It's good there is a timetable as to roughly when each course will be taken.

  • Yes

  • Because the apprenticeship I'm on seems well structured and they are friendly and always happy to help.
