Project Manager Review

My job role is a project manager which involves: - Scoping new projects - Communicating with internal and external stakeholders - Budget, scope, planning and quality management - Delivery of multiple projects to multiple customers - Weekly reporting and financial forecasts

From the level 5 qualification it has given me a wider view of the business in order to complete the assignments by looking at other business functions I wouldn't necessarily come in to contact in my day to day role. Additionally there was finance module which was helpful as this taught me formal finance language and menthodolgy.

I enjoyed being able to learn about operations management and writing about CSR activity, with our organisation have a very established CSR scheme it was great to link in the theory with what has been put in to practice.

Fujitsu value me as an employee to deliver projects to our customers, additionally monthly check in's ensured if there were any issues I could flag them.

Fujitsu clearly structure the programme for the year, it was done whilst completing my current job role. The learning provider came and met us every 6 weeks. There could have been more support from the learning provider but Fujitsu managed to raise these issues with the manager when we were concerned.

Accessibility to our tutor was great, we had no issues. There was a limit to the amount of information and guidance they could provide. Structuring the assignments helped but the overall feedback to each assignment on how we could improve was limited.

Fujitsu supported this by paying for the qualification and raising any issues we had when we felt like we weren't getting enough guidance.

Fujitsu paid for the qualification which was done in my own time which allowed me to carry on with my job.

There are a huge amount of CSR activities to get involved in within the company. Outside of work there are social activities.

Fujitsu have supported me to complete this qualification in my own time which allows me to progress my career day to day and complete the qualification. It's a very supportive environments, I did ask for an afternoon prior to a finance module for extra revision time which they granted and made a huge difference.

I started on the Level 3 apprenticeship and followed through to the level 5. Just be yourself, enthusiastic and don't be afraid to bring your personality to the interview and express what other initiatives you might want to get involved in at the company for example CSR.
