The same roles as the sales assistants. Including tills, delivery and restocking, customer interaction. These activities occur throughout the day and all will be included in one day. Never too long spent on one thing
Developed customer interaction skills and personal interaction skills with team members. Improved confidence and learnt retail specific terminology and how to use in the most beneficial situation
I enjoy that I am treated the same, I am not singled out or being an apprentice as I have the same job role as everyone else. I enjoy knowing that my learning is working towards a qualification
I feel like an important member of the team as I am included in everything as much as a normal sales advisor would be. I am treated no different to my other team members and that is good
Well structured but sometimes difficult to find the time to fill in my book because of the busy retail environment and all the other thing so going on in the store on the day. I find it difficult to get time to write down what I have learnt but when I am given time it is easy to do.
Enough support so that it enables me to continue with my qualification and feels as though I am progressing in both my personal life and my apprenticeship learning. I feel like I can ask whatever questions I need
I feel as though I can ask whatever questions I need and that the time will be taken to help me when I need it. My managers are approachable and I have built a positive relationship with them
Very well, my wage per hour went up with my hours staying the same so I earn more money for the same hours and it covers all the costs I have in my personal life and due to the job
I have not experienced many oppurtunities outside of work yet but I am still early on in my employment and learning with my team members. I see some opportunities for outside of work appearing in the future
Yes
It's a fun environment with a good work system and a great oppurtunities to improve product knowledge, to use in store and in personal experience to recommend to friends and family.
Be prepared to learn lots of things very quickly and to improve product knowledge on a wide range of products. Also customer interaction is a big part that will improve over time and different techniques will be learnt
