1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
As an associate in the Audit sector, I am regularly out on client site and performing tests on their financial statements. I work with a wide range of different clients.

By the end of the 4 year training period, I will be a fully qualified chartered accountant. Additionally, several internal training courses are held to improve your practical knowledge
3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I enjoy the programme, and other people in the company are very friendly and understanding. I would say the hours are longer than I expected
4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?
We regularly have meetings with an appraiser so that we can see our progress. At the end of jobs we often receive an email from a manager to thank us.
5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
There is an induction period for the first few weeks before attending college. You have a 'buddy' who is there to look after you throughout your training period at the firm
6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
We have a tutor who teaches us at college. We also have an email address so that we can contact them either outside of college hours or inbetween college and exams

We have an appraiser who makes sure that we are on track with expectations. Also a buddy who guides you through the first stages at the firm

All expenses are paid so all my travel costs are covered. The salary is competitive with an increase each year. Bonus is very rarely awarded at lower levels

Very few in the regional offices. London office advertises many clubs/events etc whereas my office only has Christmas party and summer drinks
9a. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend? *

Be prepared for long hours! The interview process is quite long but also a very good learning curve and you gain a good feel for the firm throughout
