  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in Finance and my day-to-day role includes anyalysing numbers and communicating with people within the company to ensure correct file completion. This will be improved as my apprenticeship goes on and I gain a better understanding.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Skills I have developed are being able to analyse numbers in detail and ensure I check them multiple times, I also feel my apprenticeship has allowed me to gain confidence. I will be able to gain more skills as my apprenticeship goes on.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my job role, I feel I have a great support team already with the schools team and people within my department. It is better than my expectations as I've been given more responsibility than I thought I'd have.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by J.P. Morgan?
  • I do feel valued as I am being given more responsibility as my apprenticeship goes on. Once I have a consolidated understanding of my job role I hope to take part in more outside of my role.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well organized, I feel the time is taken to consider where apprentices would best fit in the bank and we have a lot of support to enable us to study effectively.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Our training provider is overall very good at teaching the content in a way I am able to understand, with lectures most weeks and revision sessions approaching the exam time.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot of support is received from the schools team, I know I'm able to go to them with anything that is concerning me. I have 1-1s each week with my manager also so this is very helpful.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I'm happy with my salary, I think it's really good for an apprenticeship level. I live at home so it meets all of my costs such as running my car.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are events that we can get involved in with the schools team such as the interview stages for the Apprenticeship, I have signed up for one of these. There are also other events within JP Morgan in general such as WIN.

  • 9. Would you recommend J.P. Morgan to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I really enjoy my role here and the apprenticeship in general, for me it was a lot more appealing than going to university and I'd like to encourage others that are similar to me to do the same.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan?
  • For the Apprenticeship scheme, I'd say asking questions and effective communication is key to get through the application process and in general within my job role.
