  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found the start of my programme was well supported and organised as I did a company induction and had many meetings with my apprenticeship manager. There were a couple site trips and outside activities like apprentices "get together". As I have been working for a few years, I have seen decreased supported which is understandable as I am progressing and more independent in my work and myself. More support though would be a big benefit throughout the programme.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • As I attend 4 week blocks at college, I do receive a lot of support in my assignments as feedback can be given back within a week of handing it in. The tutors are helpful in the subjects they teach and provide a lot of input to understand and use in our assignments.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Good company to be with as they do look after you and the salary is a competitive rate in my opinion. Gives you the chance to learn a variety of different skills.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Costain?
  • Making sure the application process goes through smoothly, is to add as much detail as possible. Any experience in not just the construction industry is valuable to put down when applying for anything.
