  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained a whole range of skills from my apprenticeship scheme, both from the apprenticeship qualification itself and workplace skills from Fidelity. I have also been able to develop my pre-existing skillset that I have brought to the company, e.g. growing my confidence as my level of experience increases.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Fidelity International?
  • As an apprentice I feel that you are still valued the same as any other staff member within the team. I feel this is an important factor as it builds up your own level of motivation to deliver and succeed. Achieving this will only allow the company value you more improving your chances of moving up within the organisation.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel the programme is structured well with a good induction leading us into working with our new teams every day. I do however feel that there could be an increase in the level of apprentice events, e.g. meeting up with apprentices from other offices through scenarios such as training would allow us to share our apprentice experiences, being able to work together on finding the path to success.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I do feel that the support provided by my particular training provider was good, however it was limited. Both myself and other apprentices found that communication was often hard with the provider, e.g. with emails taking along time to come back which made making progress difficult.

    6/10

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is always available for support whenever I have required it. This can be in many different forms, e.g. through my manager, HR or other team members. I feel Fidelity is a particularly good company for doing this and is therefore one of the reasons why I enjoy working here.

    10/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I am very happy with my current salary package that I am receiving at Fidelity. This is because it is able to support my daily lifestyle, funding various things such as living costs and travel as well as leaving with a comfortable disposable income each month.

    9/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Many staff members working at Fidelity like to create social events on a regular basis. This may be e.g. simply going out for a drink at a near by venue. I feel events like these are hugely beneficial to the productivity levels at Fidelity. This is because it increases motivation through greater levels of staff morale. This will increase the company's chances of succeeding within the market.

  • 9b. Why?
  • From my short time at Fidelity, I have been able to identify what a fantastic company it is to work for. Fidelity values it's staff and treats them with respect, which in return provides high levels of efficiency and productivity for the company.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fidelity International?
  • I would encourage applicants to plan and prepare for the application process as much as they can. Fidelity are looking for the best new recruits to take on and will want individuals who are willing to deliver on the high level that they expect. Make sure you understand the processes behind what the company provides for it's customers and why this has allowed it to become so successful.
