  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I had a two week full induction which was tailored to our scheme. This also involved us visiting a site In the lake district for team building and communication skills. I am constantly supported by my line manager of which I understand I am able to speak to him regarding all matters! We are provided with access to an Employee Assistance Program which allows us to liase with councilors regarding work related and non-work related matters. We are provided with quarterly one-one sessions and monthly group sessions to discuss past, current and future progress. I think our scheme is amongst, if not the best in the country. However the best part about it, It always improving and it keeps getting better!

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I am given some support from the training provider (external) however I do not feel completely supported. This is because we are not given regular reviews or feedback pertaining to our college work. It is difficult to learn in college as I feel the majority is self - taught however if your try your hardest you will have the opportunity to gain higher grades.

  • 9. Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I know this is a great opportunity to learn with a vast international company. The funding they are willing to invest in an individual is phenomenal! The company initiatives, financial remuneration and motivation techniques are fantastic! This is definitely something I would recommend to anybody. My father actually asked if there were any jobs going!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Be confident, allow your knowledge to shine. They are looking for characteristics within the person and not looking to catch anybody out. The assessment days are an opportunity to understand how you will work as a team, ensuring you communicate effectively with your peers. Finally the interview questions may surround the company so I'd advise that a lot of company knowledge will be helpful!
