Trainee Quantity Surveyor Review

My role within Morgan Sindall involes taking ownership of some of the work load that my senior Quantity would normally do. I have taken control of some of the minor packages and also work on preparing sections of the CVR. Day to day I do take offs and maintain certain on site cost lists to ensure complete contrl of site costs.

My construction knowledge has increased ten fold since joining Morgan Sindall. Also, i continue to develop my commercial knowledge on a day to day basis.

I love my programme. My work with Morgan Sindall makes the experience that more enjoyable. It is a good balance of both practical application of your skills and theoretical knowledge.

I feel very valued at Morgan Sindall. I fell they offer me challenging tasks with the proper level of support. Also the financial reward is fantastic.

The course is structured well. Although some of the university modules could be re-developed to be more relevant and also the course could be shortened.

I receive adequate support from my training provider. The staff at the university are generally very suuportive. Although you do get the odd lecturer who likes to go off on a self praising tangent.

My employer offers me alot of support and the adequate time for your studies. They offer great help with both my work and uni work as many have been through it previously.

I belive my current package is genrous for my current level. With yearly salary/package reviews I beleive I have very well compensated for the work I do.

There is always many oppertunities within the construction industry for quantity surveyors. I am active on linked in and always see potential job oppertunitues.
