work as a control engineer within the castle bromwich paint shop. we look after all programmable devices within the paint shop and respond to any breakdowns that occur
i have learnt many new skills whilst working for JLR. not only have i completed my foundation degree and am on my way to completing my degree, i have took part in many training courses notable for Fanuc and Rockwell
i enjoy the degree program i am currently on. the day to day work is always varying and challenging and i great working with the people within the department
i feel very valued by jaguar land rover. both my manager and work colleagues always involve me in projects and show appreciation were it is warranted. i also receive appreciation from my work based manager
the programme is quite well structure although being part of the first group of degree apprentices has involved some issues, however most issues are resolved swiftly and efficiently
i have a work based training manager who provides support in the form of 6 weekly meetings and is also always available for help through phone and email. there is also support and guidance given through email communications
the department in which i work are always giving help and guidance. i have a mentor who works in the job role i am training to be and my manager is always available for support if needed
the pay salary at jaguar land rover is very good, it covers all costs and when working away covers all expenses that are entailed. the salary increases every 6 months and the company also pays for all university fees
there are a lot of opportunities outside of work if you wish to take part. the company is very involved in the local community and also provides ELS each year to every employee so they can experience new activities

jaguar land rover is a great place to work. the day to day job role is challenging and engaging and the uni degree is a great qualification to have. the people for work for jlr are also great people to work with
the application process to get a degree apprentice for jaguar land rover is very long and difficult however there is lots of information provided and help is also given at each stage of the application if needed
