In my day to day role, I work with product literature, update previous pieces of work, help co-workers with organising events and putting work through OLIVER to be updated.
I have learnt new skills on how to appropriately address customers/colleagues, how to edit emails to have an automated response, developed my skills in using Excel.
I really enjoy the programme as I get to work with an amazing company, and work with highly qualified co-workers. I get the chance to travel and meet other members on my sale team and also other apprentices within 3M.
I feel very valued by 3M as I feel that my role is quite an important one. This is because I have the role of updating pieces of work that sales members will be using throughout the year.
The programme I am on is well structured and organised as it allows me time to do coursework and also get important tasks at work done. I have people I can talk to, to help with all of my work as well.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. I have my boss and also my tutor to help me with anything if I ever need it. My tutor helps out with work when she visits and also checks regularly if I am enjoying my work and if I have any issues.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. She is very supportive in the work I produce and provides constructive criticism when needed and will help me out with any tasks I find challenging.
My salary covers all of my costs. It pays for my travel expenses and more without me feeling like I'm going to struggle. It also allows me to treat myself to certain things without having to worry.
There are opportunities outside of work, not many but there are a few. I get to do my apprentice training out of work and also meet sales reps around the country. Occasionally we will go for a team lunch somewhere nearby.
Yes
It is an incredible company to work for and will give you the support required to progress and work your way up to become better at your job. It has events which can help with your training as well and will provide it all, free of cost.
I would tell them to make sure you research the company and know what it's about and to especially look into the area you are wanting to work in as there's quite a few different sections.
