I enjoy the large range of different accounts which I have the chance to work on with CGI. I get to work with people from all around the globe and have made friends with members from India, Canada and Europe. The role exceeded my expectations because it allowed me to expand my network very quickly when communicating with such a large audience.
My managers that I have had so far have been very supportive. I have a people manager, who assist me with increasing my network. My career manager is helps to push myself in regards to Personal Development.
My induction was held in Reading. All flights and hotels were paid for and on my first day I received a brand new phone and laptop to use. There are so many training courses online within CGI but also so many available outwith CGI.
QA is my current training provider. They are good but could do with making assessors more available.
Any issues then I have a lot of managers able to help and something always gets sorted out.
Not the best salary but not the worst I have seen either. If not living at home with parents it's hard to live on an apprentice salary. However CGI are good with expenses and you have a budget if you have to work away from home. Travel ie. flight are booked through the CGI system so there is no cost there usually.
We have internal comms go out for all events organised by CGI's "Nessie." CGI match our £5 each month for both free and subsidised event tickets which is great. I plan to attend a celidh in Jan.
Yes
Best work experience I could have ever gotten at this stage in my life. So glad I did not do the marketing apprenticeship I originally intended.
Lengthy On-boarding process but totally worth it! Very easy to apply through QA, who will support you no matter the apprenticeship you chose to go for.
