  • My role is to look after the day to day tasks on ground water sites throughout Nottinghamshire. As a maintainer you could be carrying out varying tasks to help keep to sites running from regular maintences tasks to repair work.

  • Yes! Loads of new practical skills and different methods of communication to ensure the day to day running goes without fault.

  • Very! My programme is full of new experiences and challenges every day. No two days are the same.

  • Extremely valued, I feel like Severn Trent value their staff more than most employers and provide good benefits to demonstrate this.

  • Well structured, and often well organised too. I generally know where I need to be and what tasks I am carrying out each day.

  • Lots! If I have any questions or doubts they are always there to help and provide guidance and support.

  • I always receive support from my employer - and it is easily available if required, everyone is willing to help you!

  • 100% - expenses paid for too so even travel is covered, the starting salary is also good with regular pay rises available.

  • Yes! We get 2 paid days off each year to get involved in charity work outside of work.

  • Don't be afraid of travelling, living away from home and make sure to get stuck in and ask as many questions as possible!
