  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • o Supporting the GM of a large 600+ employee organisation within Microsoft. This includes being set requirements for offsite leadership team meetings and having to work with external agencies and event companies. I owned all the logistics for this, and had to ensure I met all deadlines and the meeting arrangements met all requirements that were set. o Hospitality/event management. I collaborated across teams, including marketing and PR, to create events and agendas to connect gold partners with customers at corporate hospitality events. o Leading a team of Apprentices and Interns who go out externally to schools and colleges to present to young individuals about jobs in the technology industry and why they’re important, and how they can go about getting a job at a tech company (Early in Career). o Working within the Sales Excellence team to renew licencing deals with partners. This includes owning and leading calls with Gold Standard Partners and ensuring that their deals are coming in on time, and that we are hitting our revenue forecast. o Helping to manage the Business Investment Funding process for the Small, Mid-market Solutions and Partners area of the UK. This involves managing quarterly budgets, monitoring compliance issues, working with key worldwide stakeholders and project management. o Working closely with HR to create content about Diversity and Inclusion at Microsoft. o I was also closely connected with the organisation of a large-scale company conference called Future Decoded, in which we hosted 15 NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young individuals. o I also managed the marketing/social media platform at the start of 2016 for the Microsoft UK Get On team. This included creating content and managing different accounts such as Twitter and Facebook.
