  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work for a recruitment company as a marketing exec, my role includes mostly social media marketing but I also work on other marketing strategies.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many skills during my apprenticeship - coming out with a qualification in Social Media Marketing and developing skills around all the different strategies you can put in place in order to really help your company. Since I finished my apprenticeship, I have now moved on to my second company where I manage all the marketing for the whole company.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I loved my time at The Juice Academy, they were so helpful during my time there as well as after when I was looking to move company. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed to keep on top of things and that I was finishing work etc on time.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by The Juice Academy?
  • They made sure I was happy throughout my time there as well as keeping in touch during my apprenticeship and after. • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Juice Academy was really well structured, we were given a program at the beginning, and if there were any ever changes to this - we were emailed about them straight away. We knew exactly what to expect at the start of our day and what we needed to do in terms of our assessments.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We received a lot of support from Juice. My main assessor was [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], and she went out of her way to help me whenever she could. She was always available on phone or email if I needed help with anything, and also took time out of her schedule to come over to my work and go through Google Analytics as this was something I was struggling with.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer at the time was good, I didn't have a marketing manager whilst I was there which was quite difficult on my half as I was still learning and figuring out the marketing world. However, juice really helped me when I found it difficult.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I lived over an hour and a half away from where my company was situated, which meant a big chunk of my salary went on commute costs. Luckily, I had some savings to turn to when I needed to do so. If I worked closer to home, the initial salary would have been enough for me.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • We often had company events which were so much fun, my company had offices in Manchester, Leeds and London; which meant we often went over there to meet with the teams and do fun activities. I also spent time with my mates outside of work who lived in Manchester which was great fun.

  • 9. Would you recommend The Juice Academy to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The Juice Academy is such a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to go into marketing. I decided to put off university and take the risk of going the Juice, and have now ended up in a fantastic job at the age of 20, whereas if I went to uni, I wouldn't have come out until I was 21 and probably wouldn't have any better a job then than I do now. They are incredibly supportive at Juice and really want to help you!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The Juice Academy?
  • Be yourself, but make sure you really open up and don't be afraid. Juice choose apprentices on Bootcamp days - so just make sure you come prepared, and have an open mind. Get stuck in with everything they ask you to do, and prepare some questions for the employers that will be there before you go!
