  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role during my week of work experience was in Assurance and Actuarial Services. The First day included travelling to London Bridge and visiting the London office where we was introduced to what we was doing and and bit of an introductory to what we will be doing today. i was then travelling to client sites where there was a process of an Audit and i would help the assurance team complete the Audit by doing various jobs such as invoice checking and etc. i also got a taste in a different line of service Actuarial which is more risk calculation and etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained valuble insight into the work of accounting. i have built valuable skills such as it skills in the work place and team work as i was working in the team and i also built my communication and Self confidence.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the programme very much and is one of the best experiences in my life. i met lots of other students who i have became friends with and i have also worked in a welcoming and friendly team. it has exceeded my expectations.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • I feel very appreciated as i got to meet lots of people in senior positions such as Partner and Directors. i was also thanked by team for helping them complete their audit.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was very well structured included tests and a interview a couple months before the programme. i was emailed also before th eprogramme with lots of support so i was ready for the week. i had regular Webex meetings aswell by the staff who run the programme and we also was blogging.

  • We recieved lots of support and on the job training

  • On the job training and a introductory course on the first day.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • All travel costs was Reimbursed and accomadation was provided when visiting London. A salary of £8.25 an Hour which was very rewarding

  • There are further oppurtinity to carry on to work after college and they provide you a assement and interview and also a sponsered degree program or grad program

  • Yes

  • It is the best expierence of my life and will be on my CV to impress employers


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • I would tell them to pratice practice practice interviews and assesments to get in
