  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Within the day I work for the BCS team to complete the background checks on candidates for Towergate. I ensure that all the correct and legal information is there, to ensure the candidates are compliant to work within the set SLA. I internally speak with everyone and report to my team senior and team leader. Externally I speak with my onsites on a daily basis and also to several companies to gain references. my responsibilities are to ensure the safety of myself, others around me and to follow my job role in order to complete my daily duties. my projects are to keep the candidates for Towergate coming through and being compliant within the set SLA. I do this every day, checking the applications forms, attaching documents and speaking with the onsites and candidates to get them started in their new role.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have learnt how to use this bespoke software and how to check certain legal documents to see if they are correct. I have also developed new skills in Microsoft office and became a much more happier and confident person since starting here. I will also have gained a new qualification from this, as I will have my NVQ Level 2.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When starting my apprenticeship I wasn't sure on what tasks I would really be doing, as I had never done a role like this before. However, I have gave it my all and seemed to have learnt a lot. My training is good and on point, some of the questions in the work books I don't feel are that relevant but then I understand the apprenticeship is business admin as a whole. s

  • I do receive a lot of support from my training provider. I get answers rather quick and she always is keen to get things complete, as she knows I want that too.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer gives me support in regards to my work and asking if I am complete or not. I understand we are such a busy and fast paced company, so they can't always give me time out, just because I am an apprentice.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I find the pay a little low as I struggle to pay for things on such a lot wage. especially as I am 23 years old, so have a house and all that to pay for. Unfortunately, circumstances at home have changed and I am now staying with a friend until I sort myself out. therefore, needing to complete this apprenticeship asap is vital as I can then try and save to get my own place.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Adecco give you lots of opportunity outside of work, in regards to charity work, events and others. It would be great to see people get together more, but you aren't always able to get everyone together with us being so big. I have had anything outside of work for my apprenticeship.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Adecco Group?
  • I would explain how much they offer you in regards to incentives and how they push you to do your best. The roles here are very versatile and you have lots of opportunities. In the interview process, I would say just be yourself and show them you are willing to learn, give it your best shot and enjoy it.
