Engineer apprentice Review

To carry out repair work and refurbishments of lifts when required with a qualified engineer.

I have gained many new skills and still have much more to gain. My use of powered tools have developed and I look forward to developing/gaining skills.

I enjoyed my apprenticeship programme and was really happy with how it was carried out. I look forward to developing on skills that hard been taught or learning new things. Always had full support off my company/managers.

My managers are always asking how I am finding my time at stannah and if everything is going well whilst making me feel welcome. The engineers are also highly patient and take their own time to talk me through a task etc.

On the company side of things it was well organised and was always kept busy. I have had both experience on the servicing side as well as the repair side of things so being able to do that has helped me alot. I believe the training provider could of been organised better.

Not much support was offered whilst I was on my programme. Although I did not feel the need to have support I felt as though there wasnt much support offered whenever needed.

I value the support that is offered to me from my employer and I am more than happy with the support given.

At the moment I am just about coping with my cost with my salary but I know I can work hard to achieve higher salaries and can be achieved as time goes by.

I have not looked in to any other opportunities whilst being at stannah so I am unsure about the opportunities that are out there.

To habe full respect towards engineers and to be open minded and to just try at anything they ask you to, do not be scared to make mistakes. They give you the time to learn and are more than willing to help out whenever needed.
