  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have been working in store as a sales adviser, this has involved tasks such as making stock available to customers, customer service and dealing with cash at the tills. Also I have been doing tasks such as date coding and making sure tags are correct.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned many new skills including time keeping as I have had to be up for work in the morning. A major skill I have developed has been confidence I have become so confident working at Superdrug as I have learned how to communicate with customers correctly and provide information about products.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my program as it has always been made known to me that I am able to get training and progress within the buisiness. I also have enjoyed it as it has taught me new skills and helped me become confident.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Superdrug?
  • I feel very valued as I have been involved in lots of training and always get feedback on what I have achieved. Also i have communicated constantly about my programme with collegues and management to make sure they give feedback on my progress.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme has been very structured, I have had clear information about my qualification and my learning from the beginning. I think my assesor has been very organised as well as my folder and paperwork.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I recieve a lot of support from my training provider especially my assesor. They always make sure I know what I'm doing and I have all the relevant information that I need to do any tasks. I always know I can contact them if I needed any help with anything.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has given me plenty of support from the beginning. This has involved going through parts of my workbook and signing off pieces that have needed to be signed. Also my employer have helped a lot with training and any questions I have.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I think that the wage isn't too low but it could be better for apprenticeships as they're just working as much as anyone else if not more. For my the wage has covered most costs but not all.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • It has meant I can come to team meetings involving learning about customer service, involving MARY GOBER and improving on that. Also I am able to go on to do team leader training so I can progress.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel that Superdrug has a great programme when dealing with training and progression if you wanted it. They are also willing to give feedback and support whatever you want to do, whether it's gaining training or are happy just doing you job as it is.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?
  • Be friendly and research abit about the company before going to your interview. Also be prepared to have some of your interview on the shop floor and be confident around customers.
