  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As this apprenticeship relates to audit, on a day to day basis I would be travelling to a client in the morning, then most likely meeting with a few others from EY as the client. Then you would perform a number of financial 'tests' such as checking sales existed or if the payroll number is correct for example. This will involve both independent work as well as liaising with the client.

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a firm where progression is more of an expectation that a rarity, due to the firm growing so if you want to fast track to a manager in a Big 4 Accountancy company, it is a great place to work.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Always ask questions.
