I work as a sales associate which consists of a lot of running around collecting cloths and tidying up. Then a few hours a week I leave the shop floor and attend training workshops that teach me about luxury reatail
I've learned how to retain composure in stressful situations, this is especially important during times like sale
I love the environment I work in and all the people. However the only down side is the hours are painfully long especialy when you are having to be up in your feet all day. And the shifts are at different times as there aren't set working hours for everyone which makes it tricky to maintain a life outside work.
I feel very valued and am given responsibilities when I ask for them or prove my self wich encourages hard work.
It's very well organised and structured. We are given handouts at all workshops and write notes
Lots of support both in the training workshops and on the shop floor which is so nice.
Lost of support they are always wanting to help our and show genuine concern to make sure you feel comfortable
Quite well however because we work on sales comision but my focus isn't allways on selling as we get project as a part of the training program, this means my commission isn't as good and I don't earn as much money as I would like
Yes there are lots of opertunitues if you are willing to take them. You just have to be proactive but Harrods is very accommodating
Yes
I like the way the rules are very clear and what is expected of you. In lets you know where you stand wich I find reassuring
There are so many more opertunity in Harrods that you will have never even heard of so you just have to be proactive as ask for them and you will learn far more than some on who is very passive. It's what you make of it
