Apprentice Adminstrator Review

In my job role I raise purchase orders for the teams, I update and send meters of for calibration when required, I order workwear, and stationary equipment.

I have learnt lots of new skills, I have lernt how to handle incoming emails/phone calls. I have expanded my knowledge of word, edexcel and other software. I know how to calmly and proffessionally deal with customers who come into the reception area.

I enjoy my college course as it is informative and it isnt just about stuff that you will use once, you are able to learn for the future as well. I like the office I work in and the people I work with as they are all supportive and helpful.

I have had internal recoginition from the Sales team, I am a valued member of the admin team. I was given good feedback on my 2016 appraisal.

It is well structured as I have had an induction by HR department, I have done E-Learning for Schneider Electric. I have suport from my mentor, I am allocated time for study for college. My role does entail independent tasks. I am working towards a level 3 business administration with City College Coventry

My college tutor visits on a monlthy basis, and keeps in contact through email and phonecalls. My tutor is helpful and gives me guidance on where I need to work, she provides me with positive feedback.

I recieve a lot of support, as I am allocated time when needed for college tasks, colleagues will put time aside to help me acomplish certain tasks.

I understand that I am on a low minuim apprenticeship wage, at the moment I travel with family to and from work. I do pay board as I live at home, but there is not a lot of money at the end of the month for social activities.

Ashby has social events afterwork which means everyone can get involved, during lunchtimes you can go in the cool room or go outside to play basketball. There are always classes etc to do nearer home but there is always a cost restriction.

It is a good global company to work for, with lots of opportunities around and everyone in the Ashby office is very friendly and willing to help.
