  • The Skills Academy involved several decision making tasks, group development projects and also learning opportunities about EY.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I learned that it was important for me to come across as confident when first meeting other participants, as I can be a little quiet at first. At the end of each of the days we received personal feedback about our skills from the facilitator and other group members.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was a very well structured programme, a few weeks prior we received an outline of what we would be doing, then when we arrived on the first day we were given a full itinerary, it was very jam packed but never over-ran.

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The staff culture is so friendly and inviting, as well as immediate opportunities to grow yourself and network. I look forward to the hugely global brand that EY is, as I love travelling and I hope in the future I can work abroad - EY's openness and flexibility means I do believe that will happen.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Prepare for the telephone interview a lot! They can't see you, so use this to your advantage - research the types of questions you are likely to be asked, and bullet point key responses to them, include an example! Also do take practice psychometric tests and prepare for the final interview by learning more about the company, make sure you show that you really want to be here!
