  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my communication skills with my colleagues through just speaking to them more and more each and every day during the time that i am there. My pace when stacking shelves has improved greatly as the more times i work the quicker i am becoming. I feel my skills will keep progressing

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my programme a lot as i am learning new things everyday that i am working at Aldi. I enjoy working as a team and feel that i am doing my bit to help everyone that asks me. The company as whole is very good to me allowing me to have a flexible working time so that i work with many different people. I also feel i am working to the best of my ability as of right now

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Aldi?
  • I feel very appreciated at Aldi from my manager as i get told regularly how well i am improving as a person and through the business into management. I get recognition from other managers a lot through positive feedback forms from them. I also have a lot of involvement in the company by doing different tasks and challenging me on a day to day basis.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My introduction to the programme has been abysmal from the start as i have not heard from the people running my apprenticeship since i started and it is now 8 months since i first started at Aldi. However, i get a lot of support from my store manager in telling me how to improve and how well i am progressing witch is always nice to hear. All together it has not been the best start to Aldi

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive no support from my provider as i haven't heard from them for a very long time. Access has not been there since i started here to the tutor as i haven't even had one as of yet. I haven't enjoyed it at all so far as i dont know where i stand with these people. I am eager to learn new things and i hope in the future things get resolved quickly rather than later.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i receive a bucket load of support from my employer as i feel if i have a problem with anything i can go to im and tell him how i feel without feeling like i cannot do that. H always has good banter with me and in general we have a good working relationship and he has done a lot more for me than other people have within the company and i thank him for bing there for me when i need him

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary is fair at meeting my costs but my travel costs are 3.10 a day which over a month equal nearly 70 pounds which is a lot considering a month i get paid about 500 then there is rent and phone costs towards my parents which leaves me with not a lot left but i am very grateful as in the future i know i will be better off. The location is great as it isn't that far from me as i just need to jump on a train and i am there.

  • 9. Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Aldi is a good starting point in life if you want to become a manager because they offer a competitive salary so you9 don't feel that you are working for nothing. The people wokring at Aldi are very welcoming and kind towards you. I also think its a good place to work because you are pushed to the limit to scced and they only want the best for you

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Be wll prepared for your interview as it is the first time you meet your emloyer and you want to give a good first impression. Make sure your on time at all times as bad time keeping leads to ou using the back door. Also just enjoy working for such a great company and work to the best that you can bcause thats all they could ask for you.
