  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I assist the team with admin and case work tasks as well as now administer my own cases. This includes liaising with agents, talking to creditors regarding their concerns and other insolvency issues. On a day to day basis I mainly do case administrative duties but this can sometimes lead to being out on site gaining commercial experience.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary I receive is very good considering the support i am also given. I believe i justify why i deserve the salary but i was shocked at the amount i received as it is above average for the average apprenticeship. • 9. Would you recommend RSM to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend RSM as they have allowed myself to progress as a person as well as earn money, gain a qualification and give myself support. Because I wanted to earn money but also gain experience I decided to apply for apprenticeships. Upon my interviews RSM stood out due to the support and friendly atmosphere which came across. This didn't change when i started and i still receive help for any of my concerns. So I would greatly recommend RSM school leaver programme as it gives you an advantage with a career in accountancy.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSM?
  • The tips I would give to anyone looking to apply is to be yourself. The key is to be relaxed and also research into the role you are applying for. By researching it will allow you to shine in the interview and give you a head start on your first day should you get the job. The key however, is to be yourself as the firm respect everyone's personality.
