1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/10

I am currently enrolled onto a full time college course for a foundation degree in applied engineering. This is completed over one year full time and one year part time. We have a mixture of higher education subjects like maths, materials, CAD and ASSET alongside foundation competencies such as automotive assembly, fitting, milling, turning and welding.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

6/10

I have developed in all areas of the curriculum and have been exposed to new skills such as welding, milling and engine rebuilding for the first time.

8/10

I feel highly valued and look forward to becoming a full time member of the company after I have completed y apprenticeship.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

7/10

The new trailblazer framework has brought with it some organisational hurdles that the company and the college have dealt with well on the most part. On the whole, I would say the apprenticeship is well organised.

I receive all of the support and advice when I require it.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer supports me on a regular basis through business updates and behavioural reviews.

9/10

There are loads of opportunities outside of work.

9a. Would you recommend Jaguar Land Rover to a friend? *

Yes

9b. Why? *

The apprenticeship is exceptional in its own right despite minor issues that have presented themselves. When compared to an alternative route such as entering university straight away, the outcome and benefits along the way are by far exceeded with the apprenticeship at JLR.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Jaguar Land Rover? *

Find out what engineering roles suit you and your skill set the most and make sure to introduce yourself confidently to everyone you can!
