  • I work as a project support officer raising invoices, diary management, setting up meetings and conference calls. Liasing with finance regarding outstanding payments and updating the utilisation reports.

  • I have learnt a wide range of skills particularly way to organise effectively particularly when there are quite a few deadlines coming up. I have also learnt how to liase effectively to get the required information from people.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed working with a team of supportive people who are very helpful. I enjoy learning new tasks and look forward to how my role progresses.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by CGI?
  • There are a lot of areas and event where members are valued and recognised for their efforts. I feel valued as an employee and team member, because my ideas are listened to and I feel supported.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel the programme is well organised and structured, because training and support is always being provided to ensure individuals are working effectively within their chosen career path. Regular meetings are provided with a mentor to discuss questions I may have and are acted upon.

  • I am provided with the right about of guidance as well as provided with space to think for myself. I enjoy taking initiative and look for ways to develop my skill set.

  • I receive support from my employer when required or if I have a question I know who to contact. My employer is also happy to help and provides contacts if they do not know the answer to queries I may have.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • At the moment the salary meets the costs as I am living at home, so I don't know how my salary will impact when I move out. Overall, I am happy with the salary.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I am involved in the sport social club in which there are team sports such as basketball, tennis, football to get involved in which has helped when networking within the company. There are regular event both company and projects which has helped socialise and develop team performance.

  • Yes

  • CGI is a friendly, supportive company to work for with lots of opportunities to get involved in.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CGI?
  • I would suggest getting enough work experience before the application process so you can show that you have both academic and professional experience/skill set which can be used within CGI.
