I am a finance apprentice for Fujitsu, and have been dealing with Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable, this means dealing with Invoices and Credit notes, I have to co-operate with other members of my team and also other teams in order to do this.
I have learnt many new skills such as how to operate a group mailbox and also accounting software such as SAP, many people have shown me how to use these and this is helpful because I can now use these without supervision.
I enjoy my programme a lot as I enjoy the work I am doing and the people that I am interacting with, this helped me settle down and also to feel at ease.
I feel well valued by Fujitsu as my manager appreciates the work that I do, people know who I am and make an effort to speak to me .
It is well organised because it gives me two years to complete the CIMA certificate level, which should be plenty enough time. This means that I will be set up to do the later levels of CIMA once I have finished, it alsocombines work well with study.
The support I receive is not brilliant, I am able to ask for help if I feel it is necessary, although I do not feel the qualty of teaching is good enough at times, nor the support I receive.
Fujitsu are willing to support me in any way they can, my manager will always find the time to sit with me, my manager has assigned me a mentor to help me with my studies, this has been hugely helpful. I really appreciate the support that I have received here.
My travel costs are quite expensive, however my salary is good enough to cover this and leave me with money to spare, this covers my living costs sufficiently.
There are company events and also CIMA events, which are usually presentations, I have attended one of these with Fujitsu. I am notified about plenty of these through the post and e-mail, they are generally in London with CIMA and I am planning on attending one of these soon.
Yes
I would recommend Fujitsu because they have a good reputation, they will support you throughout your career development and cater for your needs. There are several opportunities available within Fujitsu and there are several areas in which to work and develop your career further.
I would advise that people be themselves and try the best they can regarding interviews. They should do some research beforehand, in order to gain some knowledge about the company, there are several different business areas within Fujitsu and had I known this it may have helped, I would advise people to research about the area of the business they are applying for.
