1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a part of the technology consulting practise within the company. My work depends on what project I am on, which means you are continuously learning new things and developing. But in general my day to day tasks include attending meetings and workshops, doing analysis in Excel and creating presentations and documents. All in all this contributes to helping our clients come up with and deliver new and innovative solutions for some of their toughest tech issues.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Deloitte is fantastic at providing training! Depending on your specialism Deloitte aligns you to the best industry qualifications. In technology consulting we are studying towards two BCS qualifications, and next year we will be working towards a brand new consulting apprenticeship. There is also the potential to study towards other qualifications that you are interested in, such as degrees or other chartered diplomas.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Our programme is great - we get loads of support, the work is challenging and varied, I'm constantly learning and my colleagues are lovely and great fun.

4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?

Very much so! The company does a lot to make us feel valued and important. But I feel especially as apprentices we are very valued. Deloitte are very forward thinking and know that the apprentice route is a big area of growth. They show this by giving us additional support, lots of learning and development opportunities and by providing a great community atmosphere.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured. Depending on the area you work in there is a set structure, mostly based around your qualifications. Each year of the programme builds on the next, building you up to become a 'regular' full time employee at the end of the programme.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

We receive a great level of support. We have special education days set aside where we leave work and study for the day. The tutors take you through all the course material, and really prepare you for the exams. If you are struggling both the tutors and Deloitte staff will always be there to help you understand the material.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support. There are many channels of support to help you out if you need some guidance with work, personal issues, studying or any thing else. Even informally every is always keen to help each other out creating a great sense teamwork and support.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Considering we are school leavers we have a very competitive London starting salary. There is also lots of salary progression the longer you stay at the company.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

The social life is probably one the best aspects about working for Deloitte. We have a lot of socials including project socials, apprentice socials and area socials. There are also lots of clubs to get involved in from netball, to language societies to adventure sports. We also do a lot charity wise - so there's lots to get involved in if you want to give back. Overall Deloitte has a fantastic sense of community!

9a. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend? *

9b. Why? *

Deloitte is a brilliant company to work for. The work, the social life, the qualifications we study for and the support we receive all create a fantastic place to be an apprentice. It is also a world leading company and a great brand to be associated with.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte? *

Look into the area of Deloitte you are interested in before hand. You don't need to know everything but get a general idea of what we do. Overall though don't worry too much about what you know - your attitude is the most important thing! Be enthusiastic, prepare to work hard and be keen to learn. Any technical information you will learn over time.
