Actuarial Apprentice A varied role, heavily maths based using a lot of calculations either in excel or hand-written to solve various problems for clients in relation to their pension schemes. Interacting with many colleagues on a day to day basis and have been given the opportunity to meet and contact clients on a fair few occasions already.

Several training courses over the past few months to aid development, as well as being sponsored to take exams towards the CAA qualification offered by the IFoA.

Great people to work with and a good culture, people always trying to help develop and include the more junior colleagues like myself.

Generally speaking I feel highly valued by the people I directly work with and have recieved recognition for the work I am producing.

At the start there was a two week induction, where you are given the relevant training and preparation to be able to confidently start work. The programme is pretty new, appears to be structured well and I am well supported by both Aon and my tutor provider BPP.

I have a tutor I speak to every month and meet with quarterly, assists with ongoing progress.

Great support from my manager and a 'buddy' who helped me through my first few weeks and is still a good person to go to for assistance.

My salary does cover my living and travel costs, appears in line with most other roles in similar companies.

Frequent opportunities to go to networking events and social events. Company pay for Football after work and a badminton court for some lunch times.
