  • I don't really have a set role in my job. I just get whatever needs to be done. I do do some projects whenever there's continuous improvement to be done.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the programme was so unorganized and even now it still is. i wasn't told where i was working or when i was starting until the friday before i started on the monday, no it for a month. Now, all these events are set up last minute, which means for myself and the other two apprentices here cannot go because of travel arrangements etc.

  • i feel that we don't receive any support from our training provider. They just leave us be for months, rarely answer some emails that we send and there is no help for those struggling.

  • 9. Would you recommend Civil Service to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • it's been a disappointment from the start and i wouldn't want anyone to go through the huge amount of stress there is on those in the finance scheme.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Civil Service?
  • i would say go in with an open mind to the assessment day, and also read up on what you've written as they will ask you about your competencies for further details.
