  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I didn't enjoy being put on the till for long stretches of time as I felt that I could've been developing my skills on the shop floor more as I'm not usually on the shop floor. Work book was difficult to complete as managers couldn't allocate time for me.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Superdrug?
  • I didn't feel very valued in the superdrug I worked in, I felt that I was purely there to be on the till most days, I felt like my skills weren't being used as much as I would've liked and I felt that I couldn't develop in confidence for a few months

    4/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • my salary is very hard to live off, especially as I drive, have insurance, mot and tax to pay and parents to pay back as well as random breakdowns to deal with. I would often struggle to be able to pay off my bills and keep enough money to fuel my car everyday

    1/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I would generally not do anything on my days off except try and get things I hadn't managed to be able to do after work, like washing and cleaning my car and getting fuel. There was no company activities outside of work except going out for drinks but I don't drink

    1/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Superdrug to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • My managers didn't help me unlock the potential that I feel I have, I felt like I was there purely for till work, my salary was not enough for me to be able to fund a car and various bills and I found my working atmosphere a bit difficult and catty.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?
  • I had to really pester the manager of my store to give me a definite start date.
