  • I am a caseworker within the compliance centres, I review cases where there is scope of mistakes, error or evasion.

  • I have learnt to manage my work, project management, complaint handling, customer relations.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the new challenges I received as part of the programme and how much my skill set has increased in such a short periods of time.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Civil Service?
  • I feel very valued, we have had meetings with seniors leaders who have welcomed us to the civil service and feedback great things on how we will be leaders of the future

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Initially the programme was not great at organising the finer aspects of course and where to assign people on post however this is a large project with hundred of job holders.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • we receive a lot of training, and support is good we get regular contact from the assessors who in turn allow us room for development and give great feedback

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • they are very supportive and allow time out of work to develop the job role and build examples for the apprenticehip.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • very well and paid to degree that is inline with the degree of work we d, as an eo we are given room to get experience and full pay. very good as apprenticeships don't pay very much!

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • there of a lot of opportunities to develop within the apprenticeship, we have been allowed to travel to London to participate in competitions and visit schools and job fairs to promote the apprenticeship

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • a full paid level 4 apprenticeship, with vast opportunities to build and develop. it has given me the opportunity to work with people I would never get to do, I enjoy m as well as well as learning on the job


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Civil Service?
  • if you enjoy a challenge this is the job for you! the apprenticeship sets out to allow candidates to grow over the 2 years to develop the desired skills and knowledge that is vital to the civil service.
