1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

8/10

everday I wake up and have a full English breakfast. breakfast is the most important meal of the day. then I get the bus to HMS Sultan and begin my studies. this involves me learning academic subjects and doing assignments. I also eat lunch over at the jrac and the food is decent. not the best but it is not bad.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

8/10

yes I have developed new skills the reason why is because I have been taught ilm and also I have been doing pd lessons. this teaches us how to become better and learn new skills. I very much enjoy working in a team and learning new skills. I am a good team player and leader.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

8/10

to a certain extent I enjoy this programme reason being I get to meet new people and also socialise with them. this is good because I have made new friends and also I have met new people. I have had lots of banter and this is good. so this is the best bit about the programme.

4. How valued do you feel by Network Rail?

8/10

I feel valued a lot. because network rail are a very good company that treats people fairly and also very well. they have looked after me so far and I quite value the company ethos. this is very important because it makes me happy. they take into account my personal needs and provide.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

8/10

currently the programme is organised but not very well. it was a lot more organised but due to babcock staff leaving it has become unclear now as to who is teaching my class and it is little little things like that that makes it less organised and structured. but other that that it is good.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

9/10

I receive support from my teachers which is good because they are there for me if I need any help. also if I don't need any help they still offer help. this is very good because it makes you feel valued and it shows that you are being treated fairly and well.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

9/10

I receive support from my teachers which is good because they are there for me if I need any help. also if I don't need any help they still offer help. this is very good because it makes you feel valued and it shows that you are being treated fairly and well.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

7/10

currently it is alright it could be better if we were to get paid more money but for the fact that we get our accommodation provided it is not too bad. however the food provided is not amazing thus I have to spend a lot of money on my own food and this is a very hefty expense.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

8/10

yes there are good opportunities outside of work. I play football a lot with my friends and also I like to go out so therefore there are good opportunities. I also go to gym every now and again because we have the facilities. so I believe that it is good for us and we get lots of opportunities.

9a. Would you recommend Network Rail to a friend? *

Yes
