  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Mott MacDonald?
  • Yes I receive regular feedback when I complete work and this helps me improve. They have put me on extra training courses which shows they believe in me

    9/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is quite structured with regular meetings, but there isn't much information on the routes I can take once it is finished so sometimes the next steps are unclear.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The teachers at college help a bit but a lot of it is expected to be done on your own. If I have a problem then they do try to help but don't always solve my problem.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer supports me and I know the relevant routes or people to speak to if I have a problem. My mentor regularly checks on how Im doing and the work im doing.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My travel costs takes a large chunk out of my wages even with apprentice discounted travel. There is no subsidised lunch either so food is another large expense. I think this is an area where they can improve.

    4/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are a lot of sports clubs open to us and regular trips abroad or to events. They have regular charity days where we can get involved and donate money to a good cause.

    8/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Mott MacDonald to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are a good company to work for and value your work for them. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel included from your first day.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?
  • Be organised and know the job you are applying for before the interviews. The assessment tests were quite tricky so you would need to revise before you do them.
