I am currently working in placements and moving around the company into different areas. I have been involved with drawing, building, testing, commissioning and designing.
During the apprenticeship I am always developing my skills and increasing my knowledge of the tasks I am performing. If I am unsure, there are always people around that are happy to help.
I have always had an interest in electronics and to have a job that is my hobby is brilliant.
I feel that BAE Systems want me to succeed in my apprenticeship and will support me with any issues I may have throughout.
The structure of the apprenticeship is well planned and thought out. The placements allow you to find out about the company and allow you to learn new skills as well as work out where you would like to work at the end of the scheme.
My training provider will assist me in any issues I have if required.
My employer is very supportive and I feel I can talk to them about any issues I may have. Regular NVQ progress meetings allow me to voice any issues I may have.
I have no issues with my salary.
Yes, BAE organise many out of work events and encourage employees to participate in events such as World Skills and other projects around the site.
Yes
I feel that the apprenticeship route is a very good path to take. BAE Systems look after their employees and offer a lot of opportunities.
I would advise people to apply to BAE Systems if they have a passion for what they do and they are interested in the position.
