  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have been fortunate enough to gain a few qualifications in my time. The main ones to note were the ITIL Foundation and Comptia A+. Internal training was provided for the ITIL but the A+ was done via the apprenticeship recruitment company and on the job training. I have learnt how to feel comfortable in my job role and also, what is expected of me.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • When I started, I did not know much about working in a corporate environment and also working in IT. Because of this experience, I am able to feel comfortable in working in both banking divisions and in IT teams. I feel this is mostly down to how we have had our time to develop and the training given.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nomura?
  • Be calm in interviews as the people doing the interviews, you will see them around a lot. Make sure you tell the truth and work as hard as you can so you can pick up as much experience as possible.
