  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Within the Next Generation Program at HPE, my daily tasks include organising training for graduates within the program and organising Assessment Centre's for potential candidates.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • As part of my role, I partook in a Project Management Fundamentals course, enabling me to develop a whole manner of skills that will aid me in being successful within the company. I have also gained confidence through presenting at School's, advertising our apprenticeship program.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time here, the team I work within is an encouraging one, and the environment creates a motivating effect to test and stretch yourself. The company culture is excellent, everyone is so willing to help you whenever you may need it.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Hewlett Packard Enterprise?
  • As I work within the Graduate Manager team, I feel quite valued, as everything I do has a direct impact on quite important matters. I am included in a range of things that are learning experiences for me, giving me the chance to grow and develop.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is very well organised, we had our induction our first week, training for the second week, and since then have been supported at every turn. We have a direct work manager to go to whenever we need more work so we are never not utilised.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Our training provider is always easily contactable via email, and arranges meeting for every second month of the year. whenever we may need some assistance in completing our qualification, our training provider is very quick to response.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive in all aspects of my role, as well as this they are trying to push me to go out of my comfort zone, in order to learn new skills and become a better all rounder.

  • The salary we receive is more than enough to meet all of the costs that are to be considered.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • HPE massively encourages volunteering and gives you 6 hours of work time per month to go and fulfill this. Aside from this, we have lot of social/sport opportunities, we also raise money for our site charity and other charities consistently.

  • Yes
